Unique Dutch Miller’s House

This is a rare opportunity to stay in a traditional Miller's House located on the same property as an authentic 1632 Dutch Windmill. This beautiful cabin offers privacy, nature and canals on both sides, yet is only 1.5 miles (2.4km) from town and a 40 minute train ride to Amsterdam. This cabin was hand built with love & care and it is a pleasure to share it with guests from all around the world. As the Miller of this windmill, I enjoy giving my guests a complimentary tour whenever possible.

Het Soomerhuys is in the center of it all! As the train station is just 1 minute away you will be at Amsterdam Station and Haarlem station within 10 minutes and at the beach within 20 minutes. The cottage is a spacious detached house with three large bedrooms, two bathrooms and a spacious and light living room overlooking a beautifully landscaped garden. Just get away from it all in this soothing, centrally located accommodation. Ten meters from the dune area and close to the beach and the cozy center. Beautiful spacious stay for 2 people, there is also a sofa bed for possibly 4 people. Private parking space on the drivewayway. Cozy outside seat , where the sun is out from the early afternoon. Quiet neighborhood. Fully equipped kitchen. A dog allowed. No smoking inside. Dogs welcome, 5 euros phpn. Tourist tax 3.30 euros pppn .

In the room has all the amenities. The guest entrance is in our back yard with its own front door, so that you are free. This room is a mix of antique and modern style, comfortable and luxury furnished and fully equipped. There is a luxurious double bed and folding bed with high-quality mattresses. The total room was renovated in August 2018. Opposite our House is a forest. Our garden is subtropical, with hibiscus, palms, and a fig tree. You are welcome

The studio is located in the quiet Zandvoort south 5 minutes walk from the beach and dunes. Our guests greatly appreciate the perfect location. The studio was completely renovated in 2023 and was given a different layout. The comfortable bathroom separates the living area from the sleeping area offers a little more privacy.
