Our new glass-front Aframe cabin was completed in March of 2020. It’s modern appeal includes a master bedroom downstairs, a loft bedroom upstairs, and a sofa couch in the living area for a comfortable stay of 6 people. The unit also includes a beautiful wet room, clawfoot tub, wood pellet stove, kitchenette, and private deck. Set 6 feet off the forest floor, this naturally lit cabin has an especially enchanting canopy view of Resurrection Bay. Salted Roots Cabins offers 5 private nightly units.

Blackhorse Cabin

Quant little cabin nestled high enough in the mountain to view Mt Alice from the front porch and still close enough to the town of Seward. There is a queen bed and a futon. The love seat reclines also. There is a fire pit you are free to use and some bikes hang from the deck of the main house feel free to use those. The house is located up the mountain but the road can be heard from the cabin. The queen bed and twin futon are located in the same room. One guest complained the area was to small.

This private cabin has views to leave you awestruck! Small deck and huge windows bring the view inside! Alaskan charm at it's best! Very clean and accommodating! Many of our guests tell us this has been their favorite on their vacation! Full kitchen & bath, flat screen satellite TV, wi-fi; cozy but complete! Lots of local knowledge to help you in any way with ideas, restaurants, activities and directions and sometimes, adorable husky puppies to play with! Bike rentals available on property!

The Lodge - feel of the Alaskan outdoors inside

If you like being close to town, off the beaten path with all the amenities of home, this is your place. We built our home in the woods in ‘14 outside of beautiful Seward. We love the outdoors, and built it with special touches of the Alaskan wilderness. From wood on the walls and ceilings, to river rocks and logs wherever possible, our dream of living in an Alaskan lodge came to be. We have a cozy rustic cabin available to rent, on the property. Sleeps 10 with shower, beds and kitchen area.

Nestled a short walk up on the hillside, you'll be serenaded by squirrels and watch the trees rustling overhead from your new firm memory foam bed. Far from "roughing it", this yurt has all the amenities: hot and cold running water, electricity, a full kitchen and a full size shower. While there is a composting toilet inside the yurt, if you'd like to stick to a "normal" toilet, there is also a shared restroom near the parking area.

Cooper Cabins

Log building with 2 queen beds. In the winter this is my garage but summer it's a great 'cabin'. Microwave, fridge, covered grilling area with gas grill,space heater, private shower/toilet house. Fire pit, no wood supplied. Kenai Lake access is 1 mile, great beach walking. Fish on the Kenai, 1.5 miles away or drive 6 miles to the Russian River. Dogs allowed but you cannot leave them alone in the cabin unless they are in a kennel. If days are not available please ask, I might be open.

We are located a short 10 minute drive from Seward (located just off the highway on the way into Seward), nestled among 100 foot tall spruce trees and a few hundred yards from 2 glacier fed creeks. We have several cabins of varying sizes and styles. They are all new, immaculately clean and have full Kitchens, and King or Queen size memory foam beds. We are located in the beautiful, woodsy Lost Lake area. We are less than .5 miles from the incredible Lost Lake hike trailhead, a must for hiking & mountain biking! We are located 3 miles from the harbor, 5 miles from downtown Seward. Our modern tiny house is the perfect, little getaway. It is secluded & surrounded by tall trees.
