Assen: verkeersschool, Museum, diverse leuke restaurants. Schaapskudde, op korte afstand een grote heide met schaapskudde en schaapskooi. Diever op 10 kilometer met zijn openluchttheater en zijn hunebed Paardrijden, op 200 meter afstand is een grote manege waar een groot aantal mogelijkheden zijn voor paardenliefhebbers. Zwemmen, diverse mogelijkheden om te zwemmen, grote en kleine zwembaden in de directe omgeving.

Huisje op de Hei is located behind our farm on more than a hectare of land, in a protected nature reserve just outside Dwingeloo in Drenthe. A special place, because you literally walk up the heath from our yard. No traffic, no neighbors, no hustle and bustle. The adventure begins on arrival, because to reach our cottage you have to drive a little kilometer along a sandy road. This road is not accessible to traffic. It's not much quieter in the Netherlands!

Cosy farm holiday cottage Dutch countryside forest

De Schaapskooi is an stylish, cozy and romantic holiday home in the Dutch countryside, near forests and heath land. The house is located next to our farm and was previously used as an animal stable and boiler house, but is now a perfect spot to enjoy nature and relax. The spacious living room was renovated in April 2024 and has a view of the garden and our chickens. On the ground floor there is a double bedroom and a low sleeping loft with 2 single beds.

Sfeervol vakantiehuis met prachtig vrij uitzicht, vrijwel direct aan Nationaal Park Dwingelderveld. Voor echte stilte, rust en ruimtezoekers. Met vier slaapkamers, twee badkamers en twee toiletten is er ruim plek voor 1 tot 8 personen. Geniet van de natuur, de pittoreske dorpjes, de prachtige wandelgebieden en fietsroutes. Stilte Rust & Ruimte. Wisseldagen in overleg maar bij voorkeur vrijdags en/of maandags.

Very much like 'coming home'

Welcome! Bed &Breakfast 'Mekelermeer' is a nice stay for 2 persons included breakfast. ckeck in is after 14.00 h. check out is round 12.00 h. 2 nights is the minimum stay. The interior is very cosy. You have a marvellous vue over garden and fields. There is hardly any traffic. Only some farmer business. A perfect place to 'slow down' .
