Wake Up to Sea Views, Sunshine & Birdsong on Waiheke Island

Light and modern, loft-style studio apartment on Shelly Beach Road located in a peaceful spot at the end of a quiet street, reminiscent of old Waiheke. Wake up in the morning to beautiful sea views from your bed and more sea views from the lounge. Relax on a private balcony in the sun overlooking a lush garden with fruit trees. Barbeque on the deck in the evening and watch the sun go down over the hills and Putiki Bay. The property is fully fenced so perfect for children. There is a trampoline in the garden under a spreading olive tree. The large and sunny lounge and kitchen look over treetops to the bay. The bedroom has a luxurious bed and ensuite bathroom with shower and toilet. It is just a 2 minute walk to a secluded beach with a jetty and pohutakawa trees for shade in the summer. Extra people (2) can sleep in the lounge on the double sofa bed. Porta cot available. Kayaks are available for guests to use and explore the bay. Rent our electric bikes (1 lady’s bike, 1 man’s bike), subject to availability. This a great way to get around Waiheke Island, flattens the hills of Waiheke! $20 per day, per bike. Wifi broadband available (PC or laptop) cd player and phone/mp3 connection , tv and dvd, phone. Oneroa village is a 5 minute drive away, it is an easy walk to Goldie Vineyard and the Saturday market at Ostend. The main supermarket is a 20 minute walk away and a fruit & vege/deli is a 15 minute walk away. Buses leave for both ends of the island from the bus stop at the end of the street. Waiheke Island is just 35 minutes by ferry from downtown Auckland, New Zealand. The island is a haven of beautiful beaches, vineyards, walkways, olive oil producers, cafés and bars, artist's studios, fabulous restaurants and a great little community. The bus stop is at the end of Shelly Beach Road and they will take you in all directions on the island. Our bikes are also a great way to see the island! We have a bouncy hunterway dog who will welcome you! His name is Benny. If you’re not keen on dogs we will tie him up. The studio is in a separate building from our home so the space to rent is private. But, we love to meet new people from all over the world and we are keen to chat and help you have the best time on Waiheke Island if that is what you would like. Goldie Vineyard has lovely hilltop views over Putiki Bay. Man o War Bay is a great spot to sit and sample the wine and platters of food and look out to sea, and Whakanawha Regional Park has walks and beautiful reserves for swimming at high tide. Waiheke Island is easily accessed from the airport via the SkyBus. It collects passengers from both domestic and international terminals and delivers them to the ferry terminal. It takes about an hour and costs $28 return. The ferry company operating to Waiheke Island is called Fullers and the wharf is located at the ferry terminal at Downtown Auckland and cost is approx. $32 return per adult. There are family passes and multiple ride options, see each of their websites for up to date ticket info and timetables. Numbers 1 and 4 bus from Matiatia wharf on Waiheke Island will take you to the end of Shelly Beach Road. The buses from this bus stop will take you in all directions on the island. Our electric bikes are also a great way to see the island! You can hire them for $20 per day, per bike.

Onsite garage is on request, additional fee for use My apartment is new and has been thoughtfully designed to be comfortable, while also being stylish and modern. The furniture has all been lovingly chosen including beautiful works of art from local New Zealand artists. This is one of the few apartments in the building that has a private balcony, is spacious,and looks out to fantastic views of Auckland CBD, including the iconic Skytower. There is a 55" Samsung Smart TV, internet connected so you can use your own Netflix account. The kitchen has a microwave, Nespresso machine, a juicer, an electric stove, kettle, fridge, toaster, dishwasher and large fridge/freezer. Coffee and tea complimentary. There are two large and comfortable bedrooms - both have large sized beds with 5-Star hotel quality linens. Both bedrooms have direct access to their own en-suite bathroom. There is also a separate study room with desk, chair and storage. A great place to put your luggage. Guests will have full private access to the apartment, and have shared access to the indoor heated swimming pool and gym. I will give my guests privacy but am available 24/7 if you need any assistance. Located on Queen Street in the heart of the Central Business District, Sky City and The Civic are just minutes away. Stroll up to funky Karangahape Road and fashionable Ponsonby Road, while theatre, comedy, restaurants, and cafes are all close too. There are two parks minutes away and the coziest little French Bistro along with an array of Asian foodie restos almost outside the main entrance. The airport bus stops a few minutes walk away, the apartment is located so centrally that you can get everywhere by walking, however there is also excellent public transport you can use if you want to explore Auckland. Walk to the Waterfront from a High-Rise CBD Flat

The apartment is warm and sunny with large opening doors to a deck providing great views of the Auckland Harbour and bridge.All of the hotel facilities are at their disposal - indoor and outdoor pool with deck chairs and lounge area, 2 free gyms,hot sauna, spa and tennis courts. Central to city art gallery and museum. Access to private bathroom with both bath and shower, kitchen, lounge, dinning and deck. I am away a lot so often the place will be all theirs. The apartment is reasonably quiet as the lounge is not directly above a city street and the spare bedroom over looks a lane with is oneway Private Street and mostly used by the Hotel. We also have the use of an outdoor and indoor heated pool, two gyms,a tennis court,hotel restaurant and bar facilities I am happy to help out with any requests I have lived in Auckland now for six years so have a good knowledge of where to eat shop and go for entertainment. I go to yoga most mornings and would be happy to introduce them to classes at my studio. I am also a member of the Auckland Tramping (hiking) club which organises and travels out and around Auckland for hikes on a Sunday on Wednesday. I am also a guide at the Auckland Art gallery and be happy to show them around there The flat occupies the top floor of a high-rise building with facilities including a shared pool, sauna, spa, fitness center, and tennis court. There’s an array of shopping and dining nearby, as well as popular attractions like Sky Tower. You don’t need a car where I live. Walking and public bus and train are easy cheap options. The Sky city bus from the airport and will drop you off with a 15 min walk to the apartment . Britomart ( 10 mins) is the main terminal for all city trains and buses and across the road is the Ferry terminal for all boat rides. Taxis and Ubers abound. Parking is a cost and is limited - parking buildings are a secure option. Weekend parking in city street is cheaper and often easier to find. Guests will find that I am often away and they will have the property to themselves

Just a short walk away from the property is Jervois Rd where you can hop on the Link Bus services to take you into the city and around Auckland! Uber is also a great way to get around Auckland. The approximate price for an Uber to the Downtown Ferry Terminal building is $7-$10 (5 minute drive!)

The apartment is ground floor of my home but can be completely closed off. The apartment has its separate entrance and decks. Private, separate, gated entrance. Outdoor deck, bedroom and lounge , are ideal for relaxing with views of bush and Manukau Harbour. West wing appartment is entirely private. Close to Auckland Airport, West Wing Apartment, has its own entrance and driveway parking in a leafy family Neighbourhood. 2km from the Southern Motorway and hustle and bustle of Manukau City. Totara Park is across the road, and it's a short stroll to Botanical Gardens. Manukau Mall, Rainbows End, White Water Park, and MIT are a seven-minute drive away. Main train Station and Bus Station is located at the mall which is 7 mins drive. Pets OK by arrangement ONLY.

Lovely Beachside Villa in Cheltenham

Sway gently in a hanging egg chair on the front deck in the morning sun listening to the beautiful birdsong and the waves crashing. The bi-fold doors in the living room lead to the deck and lawn. Outside there's more comfortable seating for guests, a subtropical garden, and a spa pool. It gets plenty of sunshine and has a very private back garden. The house is in Cheltenham, a delightful part of Auckland. It's very safe, quiet, and has one of the best city beaches in the world.
