Sundari Retreat

Serene and welcoming,Sundari Retreat was built in 2008 and is close to all amenities in Otaki. My home is bordering a very pretty farm and is sunny and private. Sundari is a self contained cottage on my property and is decorated in Balinese style with a bamboo ceiling and solid timber floors. The furnishings and artwork are also Indonesian as is the sub-tropical garden and deck area. Two minutes drive away are all the cafe's, restaurants,shops and heated swimmimg pool. You will find a boutique movie theatre in Waikanae, 15 mins drive from Otaki. 5mins walk to Skintech Beauty clinic for great massages/nails etc. 10 mins drive to Te Horo , head towards the beach and you will find Kirsty's bus stop cafe in Sims Rd. The bus is situated amid a gorgeous coastal garden. Kirsty is an ex deli owner and caterer. I guarantee you won't be able to resist her treats! Head off to the beach,walk in the bush,play golf, go mad in the outlet shops or do nothing at all! What ever you need to relax and spoil yourself, the choice is yours! Soak in the outside bath under the stars! Fabulous brick outside fireplace is also great for cosying up to under the stars. If there are 3 of you I do have a very comfortable retro caravan on the section that can be hired for an extra cost. That person would have to use the studio bathroom facilities. A continental breakfast is included in the room rate. Facilities Broadband Internet Easy access Electric blankets Fridge Microwave Mobile coverage Radio/Hi-Fi/Stereo TV VCR 2 element cooking unit Picnic basket and blanket in studio. Plenty of books/old movie videos/CD's

By the lagoon - cosy beach cottage

A private, sunny, character bach in a tranquil tree clad section with views over Waimanu lagoon and the mountains beyond. Twin bedroom downstairs, queen upstairs next to a mezzanine living area with a futon sofa bed. Outside seating areas front and back. Wood burner for winter months. Wake up to see ducks and swans gliding over the water - a relaxing place to unwind close to the beach and river walks. Reviews include many prior to new bathroom in 2020. Please enquire before booking for dogs.

The Gecko Bach, Tiny Home Accomodation

The Gecko Bach cleaning fee has been removed. The Bach is small but big on comfort- hopefully there is everything you need! An outdoor bath & use of our spa. A 1 -2min walk to coffee, walking tracks; 8-10 min walk to mall, train/bus station, library, restaurants, cafes. Raumati Beach & shops are only a 20min walk or catch the bus -bus stop outside the gate We are a smoke/vape free property. Listed for 4 using pallet couch as double bed. No matter how long we hope you have a wonderful stay :)

The Commodores Cottage is pet and child friendly with 2 bedrooms, elevated open plan living, full kitchen, espresso machine, funky bathroom, Wifi, comfy beds, and a log burner for warmth. All this within close proximity to the beach, river and Estuary with views to Kapiti Island and both an outdoor pizza oven and a bath. The Commodores Cottage is an ideal spot for a dream escape. Johns Hut is located in our private manuka and forestry block. It is an idyllic spot with hundreds of acres to explore and with only native birds to join you. There is hot water for you to enjoy for outdoor showers and baths but no electricity and no phone reception, so you can truly relax and unwind. Free wifi, cleaning and breakfast. My place is close to a beautiful, sandy and family beach. The house has a large three level deck with plenty of room for families and friends. It is a short walk to great local cafes/restaurants, a bakery and two well stocked dairies. Continental breakfast provisions provided for all guests. Linen, towels and beach towels provided free of charge. Our cleaner sorts the house after the stay and changes all the beds.
