Guesthouse Gist is the place where you have a good bed in comfortable surroundings after a good day of exploring the unique and unspoilt nature of Suðuroy. It is easy to go for walks and hikes with the Guesthouse as a Base. The family friendly Guesthouse has 16 new and renovated rooms, all with private bathrooms and some with the possibility for two extra beds making it well suited for a family of 4. Also, you have access to a shared dining room and a fully equipped kitchen. All the rooms have new beds and mattresses. Free high-speed wifi and a flat-screen TV in every room, with international cable channels. Get a good nights sleep while enjoying the day by experience the culture and nature of the beautiful island. The closest city is Tvøroyri with shopping opportunities, two cafes and several museums. This is a double room, with a private bathroom. It has a double bed, and there is the possibility of an extra fold-away bed.

Cafe experienor - charming house from 1890 and attached annex in an exclusive location out to the fjords and mountains. Breakfast is served at the cafe – homemade bread, freshly squeezed juice, and more. From May-Sept the cafe is open and cafe guests also make use of the toilet in the annex (Wednesday – Sunday at 11 am-6 pm). The toilet is washed every day at 18:00. Our guests have the opportunity to use the café's facilities in the evening when the café is closed. The rest of the year the café is closed, and guests can use all the café's facilities!

Private house, close to the sea. Great views, strong nature.

My home is close to the ocean and mountains. You'll love my place because of the views and surroundings. My accommodation is good for couples and families (with children). Strong nature, where the opportunity to see seals, edderfulge and other birds is reasonably large. From Akrar it is quick by car to get around Suderø, which is a the most beautiful islands of the Faroe Islands. From Akrar up to, for example, Eggjarnar is about 20 minutes by car, and here's one of the most beautiful views you can experience. Photos are updated regularly.

Relax by the seaside in Akrar, Suduroy.

Our house is located in the small and peaceful village Akrar on the southern most island Suduroy of the Faroe Islands. Looking out the windows or even just having the windows open, you feel as if you are one with nature, as the house is located by the see. You can hear the ocean as the waves strike right outside the window. This 100 year old house, has been renovated through the years, but you still get the feel of going through the decades, the new has carefully been blended in with the old.

The Harbour-master´s house in Tvøroyri on Suðuroy.

This cosy traditional faroese house from 1930 is located central in the town and in walking distance to café shops and supermarkets. The bus drives directly from the ferry to the house, so it´s not necessary to bring a car to come to the house. This house is perfect, if you like to experience the island of Suðuroy or just to relax in Tvøroyri. Suðuroy is the southern island of the Faroe Islands and has a lot of beautiful places, where you can hike. The host is ready to help you with advices.

Traditional older Faroese house (cozy atmosphere) in nice surroundings with good views of the fjord. 10 meters to the boat bridge where you can fish from, access to canoe and rowboat (at your own risk) 5 min. walk from supermarket. 15 min. walk from Tvøroyri. 10 min. walk to with good opportunities for trout/salmon fishing etc. Fishing equipment is available for free use. Suduroy, luxury and cozy house with sea view

My traditional Faroese house is located on the southern island, Sudoroy, surrounded by breathtaking nature with public transportation right by the door. The 2 hour ferry trip to the island, return ticket about 11 euro and 37 euro with car, is beautiful. Newly renovated house decorated stylish and simple with danish designs. Beautiful sea and mountains view from all rooms.
