Short-term Let licence no. ES00384F Built around 1850, the house has been in Frank’s family since. It sits above a rocky bay on Loch Shielavaig and has views of Hecla and Skye. The area is ideal for anyone with a love of peace and quiet and the outdoors; walking, fishing (licences can be obtained locally), bird watching, wildlife or just relaxing. Stunning views from all windows, over the lochs at the front and back of the house, as well as over the three hills of South Uist. White sandy beaches two minutes drive from the house. Outside storage for bikes. Dogs welcome. 20 minute drive from Lochboisdale ferry terminal, 45 minutes from Lochmaddy. 30 minutes to Benbecula & airport. 3 night minimum stay in summer.

Newly installed in 2021, the Cabin (often called a Storm Pod) is a self-contained luxury haven. Perched beside a small fresh-water loch and overlooking Loch Boisdale. It has a ¾ double bed, single bed and a fold-down bunk. Cooking facilities and a separate shower with WC. Outside there's a fenced courtyard with great Hebridean views for your enjoyment. Although there is sleeping for 4 available, the accommodation is more suited to couples or single occupancy.
