Set in the churchyard, a few paces from the award-winning Railway Inn pub, and the Rutland Vineyard, this 1820s Ketton stone cottage is the perfect place to stay in Rutland this Autumn and Christmas. Most people come with pals, but we love coming here, just the two of us, in Autumn or Winter in particular, for the wood burner, lots of great walking, a nip to the pub, a glass at the village’s vineyard, a mooch around Stamford, Burghley House, Rutland Water and the amazing food scene.

Wonderful studio flat overlooking Rutland Water, in the village of Edith Weston. Walk through the paddock onto the bridleway around Rutland Water or to the local pub and farm shop. 5 miles from Georgian Stamford and Burghley House, or to Oakham and Uppingham. This is a lovely base from which to explore beautiful Rutland. I live in the main house, and will be pleased to meet you and help you enjoy your stay. Set on the fabulous cycle route around the water and with access to great walks directly from the house or a short drive away it’s a perfect location for exploring Rutland.
