In June, locals dress up for Bravades des Espagnols, a festival commemorating Saint Tropez’s victory over a Spanish fleet in 1637, and enjoy Fête de la Musique, a celebration of all forms of music, from folk to classical. September brings with it Les Voiles de Saint Tropez, an annual regatta that ends the Mediterranean sailing season and features upwards of 300 yachts competing in a week of races.

The Citadelle is one of Saint Tropez’s most iconic sights, a steadfast fort that has survived hundreds of years and defended the port city for centuries. Today, the Musée d'histoire Maritime makes its home in the dungeons of the former fort and showcases the lives of the men and women who shaped Saint Tropez into the coastal resort of today.
