Other activities include long walks along the coast in the shade of pine trees, hiking in the picturesque heart of the Istrian peninsula, and bike riding by the Adriatic. You may also decide to experience the charms of in-land wine roads and enjoy gastronomic delights of the traditional Istrian cuisine. If you would rather go for a cultural discovery, Istria offers numerous historical monuments scattered throughout the entire peninsula, some of them dating as far back as the Roman empire. If you enjoy free climbing, you can practice it on the coast in Punta Corrente Park or in the Lim channel . In case you prefer harder slopes for climbing, you can find them in the inner part of Istrian peninsula. Rovinj is an excellent starting point if you are planning to take some excursions envolving sighseeing the natural beauties of the region, or observing the historical monuments, some of which are dated back to the Roman Empire. An airy apartment full of light on the top floor of an old house with steep stairs in the heart of the historic center of Rovinj, with the view of the sea over the rooftops.
