Trestle - Caldwell House Bed & Breakfast

The Caldwell House is located in the heart of the lower Hudson Valley near West Point, Storm King Art Center, Brotherhood Winery and the Woodbury Common. This guestroom is named for the nearby historic landmark, the Moodna Viaduct Trestle, which crosses the local valley. The length of the trestle is nearly two thirds of a mile, and it hovers nearly 20 stories above the ground. The Trestle Room is furnished with a lovely queen-size maple bed, lush bedding, a stately antique maple bureau and a lovely elevated electric fireplace. The room’s private en-suite bath comes with a shower. Charming, comfortable, and evoking days gone by, this room is perfect for celebrating special occasions or simply enjoying some time away! After feasting on one of Dena’s famous breakfasts, you can take a leisurely stroll down to see the Moodna Viaduct Trestle and take in the breathtaking sight made famous by its appearance in the movie Michael Clayton starring George Clooney. A Craftsman home in the country. This guest room is on the second floor with views of a pond and woods. It has an en-suite bathroom. We follow Airbnb’s Covid guidelines and have developed other safety measures: using a UV light in between guests, radiant heating in the floors. Housekeeping in the guest rooms is before and after your stay. Our well water has a whole house filtering system and shower head filters but the smell of sulfur is sometimes released when using hot water in the sinks.

Welcome to Marlboro! This private space in our home features a private entrance, private bathroom with a nice standing shower, eating area (not a kitchen) with tea kettle and coffee machine, toaster, microwave and refrigerator with freezer. There is a table and chairs, love seat couch that transforms into a small cot, queen bed, walk in closet and 55 inch smart TV with a full motion TV stand. We are permitted to operate in the town of Marlboro and a yearly fire inspection is conducted.

NEARBY: Local wineries/breweries, rafting, fishing, hiking and biking trails in Port Jervis and Goshen. Quaint town of Milford has antique stores, restaurants and musical events. ABOUT OUR WATER: Our home has well water. A few reviews mention a sulfur smell in the water; we now have a new filtering system which has eradicated this problem.
