Charming house in the countryside only 3,5 km from the village of Egilsstaðir. The house is well situated for those who want to visit the small and beautiful fjords in east Iceland. The house is equpped with geothermal heating system and is warm and nice in cold weather . It has 2000 liter hot tub ,with internal led lights, located on the terrace. 3 bedrooms ( 2x queen size + 1 single) nice bathroom with shower. Nice view to the town of Egilsstaðir and to mt.Snæfell. Sænautasel gives you a opportunity to experience living as people did in the olden days in Iceland. You should therefore be aware that there is no electricity. Everybody is sleeping in “Baðstofan”, which the space over the kitchen is called in Icelandic. Breakfast and/or Dinner is available for extra charge. You need to book this in advance at least 2 days prior. If you decide to book 2 nights you should be aware that Sænautasel functions as a guided museum from 12-17 PM.
