Rustic Country Apartment on The Moosehead Trail.

We recently acquired the house we live in which has an efficiency apartment in the back. It is cozy and private. The house is old and unique. It was previously a long term rental. We wanted to provide a restful space in the heart of Maine Highlands, the crossroads of Central Maine. We enjoy the scenic area with beautiful lakes rivers, multiuse trail systems and trail head of the 100 mile wilderness of the Appalachian Trail, Moosehead lake, Maine's largest lake, and State Parks.

Over a 5-year renovation, we painstakingly converted this 120 year old Maine canoe shop into a luxe cabin experience! It has a loft with king tempurpedic bed and antique soaking tub overlooking the downstairs and out second story windows. The Lambertson cabin is a rustic log cabin on the north shore of Wilson Pond. It’s a family cabin, so we appreciate your efforts to treat it as your own. It does not have electricity but has gas lights, refrigerator, stove, and hot water heater. Inside the cabin you will find a small leather-covered spiral notebook, which explains with pictures how light the gas lights, etc. Everything should be up and running when you get there, so you'll just have to light the lights.
