Cosy little cottage with woodburner stove, king size bed, Hungarian goose down duvet and pillows. On the edge of the Anagach Woods with its many walking trails. 10 minutes to the River Spey. We are next door, but you will have complete privacy with your own entrance, driveway and parking. This area is a wildlife haven and there is a very good chance you will spot red squirrels coming to feed on the bird table outside Lovely view of the woods and gorgeous sunsets. Perfect spot for nature lovers.

The property has an enclosed private garden and a shared driveway for 2 cars. Aviemore town and shops are a 10 min stroll down a lovely quiet lane, banked by views of the mountains and the Strathspey Steam Railway. The cabin backs onto a large forest leading into Glenfeshie the Cairngorms and beyond. Red Squirrels, Badgers, Pine martins, Crested Tits and many more are frequent visitors to the garden. Loch Insh is 3 miles away. Highland wildlife park is a superb nearby attraction. It is an ideal location for all nature lovers, walkers and cyclists.

The Old School, Insh

This self catering cottage was originally a rural school built about 1830. The cottage is situated on the edge of the village of Insh in Strathspey with the Cairngorm Mountains on one side and the Monadhliath Mountains to the west. The cottage adjoins the famous Insh Marshes Bird Reserve. There are several good golf courses nearby. fishing is also available and the whole area is very scenic and perfect for walking. Three miles away is beautiful Loch Insh where water sports are available.

A bothy bedroom in the heart of the Cairngorms

Connected to the old cruck barn this is a compact, cosy, self contained bedroom. It’s set on one side of the courtyard with separate key access so you can come and go at will. If you love the outdoors, we think you will love it here. We have spectacular views of the Cairngorms, with excellent walks from the door. Rustic, with loads of character, the room has a comfy king size bed and en suite bathroom with shower. If you need mod cons or lots of space this may not be the place for you!
