Maasresidence Thorn Park is a fully equipped park, located in a beautiful area in the heart of Central Limburg, within walking distance of the white colored town of the same name. From your holiday home or harbor apartment you can easily walk to the versatile central building MRT Promenade. You can find the reception here and also rent a bicycle or a sloop, for example. At the same time, Humphrey's Thorn awaits guests with lunch and dinner, both inside and outside on one of the terraces. There is a takeaway available for your comfort. The same building houses the Humphrey's Café & Take away, the Recra Mini Market and even the Happy Benny Children's Club and a large bowling alley.A little further on, in another building, you and your children can enjoy the beautiful indoor swimming pool MRT Pool which among other things comes equipped with a slide, a whirpool and a separate paddling pool. Sunbathing and lounging on the enclosed outdoor terrace is also a possibility. The MRT Pool will be opened in December 2022. The marina gives you the possibility to moor your boat or sloop. The beautiful beaches offer you the chance of enjoying all kinds of fun activities when the weather is nice, such as swimming or paddling, surfing, supping, wakeboarding and even e-foiling (a new type of electrically powered surfboard). The park is therefore surrounded by the waters of the Maasplassen, the largest continuous water sports area in the Netherlands! Maasresidence Thorn Park is not only a true Eldorado for water sports enthusiasts, the beautiful natural landscapes in its immediate vicinity are guaranteed to invite you to take a walk (to Thorn) or ride your bike in the area.
This delightful 88 m2 apartment is accessible by stairs or elevator via the central entrance and offers you a magnificent view of the marina and the waters below.The apartment features a spacious living area with sliding doors that lead towards either a grand balcony (approx. 14m2) or an exquisite garden, should you be on the ground floor.The open kitchen includes a refrigerator with freezer, a 4-pit induction plate, a Nespresso coffee machine, a water cooker, a dishwasher, and a combi-oven with a microwave. A washer-dryer combination is also included.The apartment features two bedrooms, both with a double box spring and an en-suite bathroom with a toilet, sink, and walk-in shower.The accommodation comes with two parking spaces on the parking lot behind the four-story apartment building. Furthermore, it comes with free WiFi and daily housekeeping services.Additional preferences can be booked by making a note in the reservation. For example, you may wish to have an apartment on the ground floor.A high chair or baby bed excluding the linen can be reserved in advance, depending on availability.All the beds in the accommodation are already made and 1 set of bath towels (1 large, 1 small, and 1 sauna towel) are included per bed. In the kitchen, a kitchen towel set is at your disposal. A bathmat lies ready in the bathroom.The layout and the style of the interior may change per apartment.
From Maasresidence Thorn Park you can walk in less than ten minutes, via the unmissable bridge, to the 'white' town of the same name. The town, which used to be a tiny principality, is therefore known for its striking white-painted houses, monumental buildings and the authentic cobbled streets created with Maas cobblestones. It seems as if you have arrived in a foreign fairytale country. Feel free to take a leisurely stroll through the historical center viewing the nice shops and enjoy the many cozy terraces where you have the chance to taste the most delicious regional specialties. In short: Thorn is well worth the visit!Do you want to visit a completely different kind of place? How about Roermond? This episcopal city has a beautiful historical center. For example, the atmospheric market square is a nice place to choose a terrace with a view of the beautiful Saint Christopher's Cathedral and the town hall. Just a five-minutes walk away from the center you will find yourself at Designer Outlet Roermond, where no fewer than 185 shops and 25 catering establishments await your arrival. If you enjoy shopping, this place is a must see! Another fun and relaxing activity is taking a cruise. It is the ideal way to experience how huge and vast the Maasplassen truly is. You can get on the boat in the city center of Roermond on the Roerkade. It is also possible to take the boat to Roermond directly from the holiday park, making a trip to this city even more fun!Maastricht is also more than worth a visit. Here you will get acquainted with historical buildings and trendy design shops. You may also discover stately churches, museums and terraces full of life. Do you want to get away from the crowd? Then visit the impressive corridor system located under the city. In short: there is a lot to experience in Maastricht! End the day in one of the many restaurants of the city and let yourself be surprised by the tastiest of dishes.A day abroad? No problem! From the holiday park you can easily walk to the Belgian border or visit cities such as Genk and the French-speaking Liège by car. Germany is also just around the corner. Aachen, for example, is a fun place to visit. If you choose this route, take a look at the Drielandenpunt or combine your visit to Aachen with Valkenburg, another beautiful and versatile city.GaiaZOO in Kerkrade is so much fun for the children. You will meet unique animal species, such as red pandas, wolverines, giraffes and gorillas. But what if the children don't want to come along at all? They may want to stay at the park and use the beautiful indoor pool. Because what could be more fun than swimming, splashing around in the water and trying out the slide?Tired of all the water fun? Then hop on a bike. You can enjoy cycling along the floodplains of the Maas, which are surrounded by the most beautiful of nature reserves. With the cycling junction network you can easily plan your own route. Incidentally, this network fits in perfectly with the German and Belgian cycling network as well. Why not go for a coffee in The Netherlands in the morning, have a nice Belgian beer in the afternoon and end the day with a schnitzel in Germany?When you talk about the Maasplassen, you are naturally thinking about water sports. This is because there is just so much water to be used here. But nearby there are also a few gems of castles which are more than worth a visit. How about Aerwinkel Castle? The castle was built in 1854 by Pierre Cuypers, best known as the architect of the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam. But not only is the castle interesting, the huge park surrounding it is also beautiful. In any case, there are plenty of hiking opportunities. For a snack and drink, you can walk to the Gasterij where you can enjoy a lovely rural setting. It is not a restaurant, but for a good lunch and a specialty beer (for example the local Aerwinkel beer) you are in the right place!
The park is under construction, phase 1 for the villas is ready. The apartments from October 2022 and rising to December 2022.The swimming pool will be ready in December 2022.At the reception you can not pay cash, only with debit or credit card. In the restaurant and store can be paid in cash.Children's entertainment is available in the Dutch school vacations.By default, all beds in the accommodation are made. There is also standard 1 set of towels per person (1 normal and 1 large towel) included. In the kitchen, depending on the booked type, 1 or more sets of kitchen towels are available.Of course you can order extra, if you think you need more. This can be booked in advance or otherwise on the spot at the reception.A maximum of 2 dogs are allowed, based on availability. Not all accommodations allow pets. Pet-friendly accommodations can be booked with preference.Other pets, caged or uncaged are not allowed. More than 2 dogs are not allowed.A continuous recreational stay of up to a maximum of 28 nights is possible, with an obligatory weekly in-between cleaning, which will be calculated after making the booking.The park reserves the right to charge an (extra) deposit up to € 250.00 per person in the event of a (first) warning. All damage to the house or caused by nuisance may be deducted from the deposit. If you refuse to pay this deposit, your rights to stay will expire without a refund on your already paid money.For the group accommodations (8 - 12 - 16 – 20 persons) minimum age of a group is 25 years for at least half of the party. The rest of the group needs to be at least 21 years old.For normal bookings minimum age is 18. Families with children are allowed. An additional deposit may be charged based on group composition.Business reservations are allowed for a maximum period of 14 consecutive nights, with a mandatory weekly in-between cleaning, which will be charged after making the booking. There is a maximum of 1 person per bedroom.The park regulations of Parc Maasresidence Thorn apply to every reservation.Our baby beds have a thin mattress. On request we can provide a thicker mattress. Please return the mattress to reception upon check-out.
