Built in 1634, the Barn is on the edge of a village 5m from Market Harborough in Leicestershire. We converted it in 2017, and it's on our property, but separate from it. Light and airy, it's open plan downstairs, with areas for cooking, dining and relaxing. French doors lead out onto a pretty courtyard garden, with stone steps up to a raised area, where you can watch the sunset over the fields. Upstairs there's a well-equipped bedroom and bathroom with far reaching views over the countryside.

The barn was converted by ourselves over two levels - one ground floor and one underground (don't worry it is very light and airy on the lower floor!) Just a few minutes drive from Bradgate Park, NT Stonewell, Richard iii Visitors Centre and the historic town of Ashby de la Zouch with its boutique shops, bars and restaurants. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers and business travellers as it has great road (M1/M42) and airport (EMA 15mins drive) access.A beautiful rural escape with everything you need for a truly memorable holiday.
