Cosy rural cottage

Our self-contained cottage is set within our rural, mature garden and surrounded by farmland just off State Highway 1. We are 15 minutes from the centre of Taupo with all the tourist attractions, golf courses and our beautiful lake a 10-15 minute drive away. It is a 50 minute drive to Rotorua and 90 minutes to the ski fields. Relax in our cosy cottage after exploring the beautiful Lake Taupo district or visiting for work or play. The cottage is private up from the main house with easy parking.

The Lavender Room self contained studio.

This is a studio across a courtyard from the main house which is a lovely villa set in a large formal rose garden on the banks of Waikato River. There is a good sized room with queen size bed and seating area plus en suite bathroom and kitchenette, and access to a barbecue. There is a Beauty Therapy clinic on the property. I am situated23 kms north of Taupo and so within easy travelling distance to Rotorua and all the volcanic plateau sights, plus the mountains of central North Island.

This off-grid and self-build hut, unreachable by car, is set in a quiet, idyllic, rural landscape, overlooking rolling farmland with no another property in sight. It is situated in the middle of our 120 acre cattle farm. Solar power,a walk across rolling farmland, and a STEEP AND UNEVEN 10 MINUTE HIKE UPHILL to get to the hut, offer an authentic off-grid experience. We recommend only bringing up the bare necessities. Ivy cottage is a unique, artistic,quirky, perfectly imperfect, 1946 workingman's cottage in Mangakino. It has a welcoming,relaxing ambiance with its original wooden floors and colorful decor. It's rustic, homely and small. Unfortunately it is not toddler friendly. Breakfast ingredients will be supplied for the first night, including free range eggs when available, homemade muesli, bread and condiments. Tea ,coffee and milk are also supplied.

Converted woolshed, set on a small farm of 25 hectares. We have cows and horses. We are 15 min from Taupo town. The Woolshed is separate from our home, giving you privacy during your stay. From the deck area/French doors all you will see is farmland! We are directly off SH1, down a long drive way, making this a great location for those wanting a place to stay during a road trip, but also quiet and peaceful if you want a few days away!
