Forge Cottage

We have recently updated this cottage ---- with a new kitchen with a proper hob and oven, and also replaced all the windows and even the front door ! The Forge cottage is set on our working sheep farm, on the Durham Northumberland border. Ideal for couples, or people traveling on their own, the cottage is a great location for local attractions such as Beamish Museum, Durham, Newcastle, Kilhope lead mining museum etc., but it's also great for those looking for peace and quiet and country walks !!

Recently converted cottage with panoramic views

A detached stone cottage in the heart of the north Pennines. Stunning views. With fantastic footpaths, cycle routes straight from the door for those with plenty of energy as it is hilly. Great base for exploring the area. With pubs and coop 5 minute drive or 25 minute walk. Recently renovated to a high standard but still feels characterful and cosy. Underfloor heating, induction hob and super insulated. 2 well behaved dogs only are allowed for a small fee. Sorry no other pets allowed.

A pub opposite with their own micro brewery and home cooked food (now only open Thursday to Sunday). There are plenty of footpaths and cycle trails meandering through the beautiful Durham Dales and North Pennines. Within easy reach of the Lake District and Northumberland (Hadrians Wall).
