"Eccentric" with striped windows to the east and west, a little side by side behind the old willow tree next to the grazing herds. Equipped kitchen, sofa bed, fireplace stove, open bedroom upstairs, terrace overlooking the countryside. The cottage is suitable for 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children. We built the houses with love, an emphasis on minimalist modern design, with harmony to nature. Settled above a beautiful Šumava valley. Come and enjoy the coziness and tranquility with stunning views of the surrounding hills.

You can expect absolute tranquility in the middle of nature in the house in the forest. You have your own holiday home in a secluded location without neighbors. There is a terrace overlooking the large fenced garden and adjacent Lake Bibersee. Many animals can be observed: beavers, otters, ducks, herons, rabbits and deer. If you are looking for relaxation from everyday life, this is the place to be. It is heated with 2 wood stoves, who wants can also chop wood. Walks in the adjacent forest are balm for the soul.

The chalet, newly built in wood construction, was completed with a lot of love for detail in March 2024. Built in a modern style, it meets the highest energetic Requirements. The path from your own parking space, through the house, to the covered porch with new, electrically heated Hot tub has been designed at ground level. Inside you can use the wood-burning stove and make your own sauna (free of charge) cozy . The national park bike path beautiful hiking trails are within walking distance.

We have long built and worked on it, now it is ready: Our vacation chalet in the middle of the most beautiful Bavarian forest. A cottage where we like to vacation ourselves: a large living room with comfortable couch, cozy corner bench and a fully equipped kitchen. Solid wooden beds from the carpenter with top-notch mattresses. Two spacious bathrooms with rain showers and sauna for the grey days. And in summer a large garden with mountain views, sun loungers and barbecue all to yourself.

Our chalet style apartment is the perfect location from which to explore the Bavarian Forest. Located in beautiful Drachselsried, you are within walking distance of restaurants, bakeries and shops. It has 2 bedrooms and an office for remote working. Finally, we have a lovely, sunny garden! Please be aware that this is our personal holiday home, and we visit regularly with our dogs. This means we can’t guarantee no pet hair, despite the flat being professionally cleaned between listings.
