The Bothy cottage in the Cotswolds

The Bothy is a conversion of a 17th Century Cotswold stone stable and a 20th Century kennel building. On the ground floor is the living room with a beautiful wood burning stove, a fully equipped kitchen, a comfortable double bedroom and a modern shower room. Whilst upstairs, which is accessed from a narrow oak staircase, you can find the twin bedroom. The living room has been fitted to retain all its original features and is furnished in period style. I have included many Georgian and Victorian pieces and have also included a large settee and two arm chairs, dining table and chairs for 4, corner cupboard and a dash of the 21st Century with a Sky television. The Bothy is beautifully situated in the Postlip Coombe on the leeward side of the Cotswolds highest hill and yet only minutes from Winchcombe, a classic Cotswold "wool" town, renowned for its excellent shops, restaurants and architecture.

Closest village Is Andoversford (Village store, post office, pub). Cheltenham is 6 miles by car. Options on local pubs within walking distance (1hr approx). Neighbours are Curly and Sean the sheep who can be seen from the windows. Accommodation is self catering with a small kitchen including fridge, hob and combination microwave/grill.

Spectacular view over rolling countryside from the upstairs sitting room at Gable View Cottage is one of the best in Bourton on the Water - surrounded by fields yet only a short easy walk into the village. This unique and spacious upside down one bedroom bolthole has lots of walks on the doorstep, a wide variety of great places to eat, sightseeing and friendly pubs. Well behaved dog welcome. Historic Cotswold stone cottage. Grade II listed, thought to have been built around 1600. This cosy cottage, located in a village in its own hidden valley, is a perfect hideaway. Lots of walks, a fantastic country pub (that serves great food) 2 minutes' walk away. But the centres of Stow and Bourton just 3 miles away. Cotswold Cottage/stunning views

I have recently renovated my beautiful Cotswold cottage, taking inspiration from rustic French farmhouses and Moroccan riads, and filling it with eclectic old pieces of furniture and art I have picked up on my travels. I grew up in the village and now live half the time there and half the time in London, so I can give lots of tips for places to visit, eat and explore. The cottage can sleep up to 6 people, an is managed by my friend Kate who will liaise with you if you book.
