Life rhythm simple living close to nature!

The life rhythm in the cottage is basic, close to nature in a wonderful hiking and cycling area, in a large, nature-rich place: vegetable garden, newly created food forest, flower gardens & pond are ecologically managed. There are a few pets (dog, cat, chickens, walking duck, bees). The refrigerator is underground and the composting toilet an experience in itself. The whole is made as environmentally friendly as possible and an invitation to live simply while respecting nature. There's a wood stove.

Rural location, directly on fishing and boating water, yet close to amenities. The guesthouse is a separate cottage on the farm and is equipped with its own kitchen, shower and toilet and garden with terrace. A private entrance and lots of privacy. Welcome! Bed &Breakfast 'Mekelermeer' is a nice stay for 2 persons included breakfast. ckeck in is after 14.00 h. check out is round 12.00 h. 2 nights is the minimum stay. The interior is very cosy. You have a marvellous vue over garden and fields. There is hardly any traffic. Only some farmer business. A perfect place to 'slow down' .
