Granny's House

This is a 100 year old farmhouse fully refurbished with all modern amenities. Three bedrooms and 1 bath, it is charming, cozy and tastefully decorated. The decor will take you back to a simple and easy time where raising big families and living off the land was the norm. Situated on the beautiful Doe river, you can step into the front yard and enjoy fly fishing or simply sit on the porch and enjoy the sound of the water. Located just a mile from Roan Mt State Park and 12 miles from the majestic mile high Roan Mt, home of the enchanting Rhodendron Gardens. This area is near Watauga Lake, Bristol Motor Speedway, several ski resorts, lots of hiking trails including the world famous Appalachian Trail. You will be in the midst of some of the prettiest fall leaves. The Blue Ridge Parkway is also nearby. There are so many things to do here, you will never be bored. We have several local restaurants that will keep you well fed.

*Disclosure since hurricane Helene the river doesn't look like the photos currently. Upstairs you will find one bedroom with queen bed and private bath. Downstairs you will have a full size pull out couch, washer/dryer, refrigerator, microwave, toaster oven, and single burner stove. There's a Blackstone grill outside for your use. * Although your entire space is completely private, it is possible I may be in another part of the house. I will never invade your locked space until after checkout.

Conveniently located, we are within the quaint town of Butler and close to restaurants, small country stores and Cove Ridge Marina. Although Watauga Lake is our main attraction, we are near a number of waterfalls, hiking trails, mountain biking trails and the shopping areas surrounding the Tri-Cities and Boone, NC.

Quiet cozy home snuggled into a great community. There are many places to walk including a cute downtown area boasting a covered bridge. Clean and beautiful this is a great place to stay if you are looking for a quiet alternative to a hotel. The area is close to Bristol for race enthusiasts. It is not far from several beautiful hikes including waterfalls. There are fishing and hunting opportunities close by. Come and enjoy our Tennessee home.
