Everyman's House in Westnedge Hill

Located in Westnedge Hill right on the edge of downtown. Just 1.5 miles to the heart of downtown Kalamazoo. It's a 1926 Colonial with a rich history. Well taken care of and very loved. 2 bedrooms up stairs and a 3rd on the main floor. Wood floors throughout. Has a semi private deck off the back for relaxing with a small fenced in back yard under a canopy of trees. Everyman's house has been declared a Historic Home in Kalamazoo. The words "Everyman's House Kalamazoo MI" can be searched for more information on the history of my wonderful house. Western Michigan University and Kalamazoo Public Library have websites dedicated to Everyman's House. 1,100 sq. ft. We do allow pets with a $50 per pet fee which must be collected separately after you make your reservation. Please include the breed and size of your pet when making your reservation. You will also be required to agree to our pet policy. Full access, the entire place is yours! Firestick is provided with a Netflix, Philo (limited cable channels) and Disney+ subscriptions. TV must be on HDMI 2 to use the Firestick. Local channels are also available on HDMI 1. Location: Located about 2 miles from Western Michigan University, Waldo Stadium and Kalamazoo College in the Westnedge Hill neighborhood and across from Crane Park. Crane Park has tennis courts and a beautiful flower garden in the summer. Very nice for relaxing or letting your dog run around. Also a good spot for sunsets as you can see over the northwest side of Kalamazoo. The neighborhood to the south (up the hill) and behind are both very nice with some very nice homes located behind me on Glenwood Dr. and around the park. There is a nice apartment community located next to the house on the north side. Milham Park Golf Club and Gull Meadow Farms are worth checking out if an activity is on the agenda, while those looking for area attractions can visit Kalamazoo Nature Center, The AirZoo or Airway Lanes for go karts and bowling. Binder Park zoo is just about a 30 minute drive also. Looking to enjoy an event or a game while in town? See what's happening at Waldo Stadium or Wings Event Center. It is located on the city's bus line with stops just up and down the street. Uber and Lyft are great options for getting around with only around a $6 fare to downtown. It is a 11 minute drive to Kalamazoo Municipal Airport and 50 minutes south of Grand Rapids' Airport. Other things to note: ***Located on a busy street*** Location: Everyman's House is located on a hill on a one-way main road (Westnedge Ave.). It was built back when Westnedge was not as busy. Please be aware that traffic noise can be heard inside of house. Also it can be busy depending on the time of day and some people find it difficult to back out of the drive way. However, because of the traffic light located down the road there is always a break in the traffic to back out. Please be aware of this LOCATION issue before booking! There are four total parking spaces with two being inside of the garage and two spaces in the driveway. Do not block driveway. The stairs are steep and may be difficult for elderly guests but there is a bedroom located on the main floor. Please be aware that although pets do not live on the premises I do allow them so it is a possibility that some hair/dander be found which I understand can be an issue for some guests with a severe animal allergy. We do allow pets with a $50 per pet fee. You will also be required to agree to our pet policy. Please be sure to include that you will be bringing pets before you arrive. If you would like early check in or late check out I will do my best to accommodate. There is a fee of $20 per hour. Please be aware that it takes up to 3 hours to clean and do laundry in between guests so availability is subject to prior/future guests requests. I would love to give you a tour of the home and provide more info about the history of the house and information about Kalamazoo if desired but you are also welcome to just use self check-in. I am usually available but if I happen to be out of town I will have a co-host to help with any issues with the home.

Charming separate home with large yard & privacy

This house was originally a chicken coop! It was built in 1925 but was converted into a gorgeous, cozy guest house. We live in the larger house built on the front of the same lot. This single story house is ideal for comfort and security, with a large yard and plenty of privacy. It's also less than a block from the Silver Line bus route that whisks you to downtown GR. You’ll love its comfort and convenience. We cater to couples, solo adventurers, business travelers and families (with kids).

The loft is downtown lake odessa above a store front. Awesome for nightly or longer stays. It has Brick walls, barn siding, exposed ceiling, Murphy beds, fireplace. Walk down stairs , to r, antique shops, a fabulous old fashioned ice cream shoppe, seasonal. The public beach is walking distance. This would be an awesome place to have a group of friends party, however it can’t be used for that. It has to be more low key, there is an overnight rental below the loft. It’s great for relaxing

Oak Ranch on Rose Place

This adorable 1880's town home is decorated in original, pristine condition, ranch oak furniture from 1950's. This furniture was manufactured in the beautiful south west, and remains very collectible even today. We have also taken advantage of the western theme by adding Native American pieces through out the house. The space is almost 1000 square feet with full kitchen, two bedrooms and one full bath. We are located within walking distance of the downtown entertainment district.
